Do you have a creative idea but don't know how to get it started? This session focuses on all aspects of planning creative projects.

SLAP present 'The Work Of Art' a workshop series for artists and creatives practicing any art form and at any point in their career. 

These workshops will cover all aspects of the 'business side' of being an artist. In the current climate it is becoming essential to be able to promote your work and understand how to manage a business, to have a sustainable career in the arts.

The first workshop in this series will look at Creative Project Management. 

This workshop will cover:

  • How to get a creative idea up and running

  • Planning a creative projects and developing proposals

  • Assembling a creative team

  • Funding streams

This workshop is presented by Yinka Danmole

 

About Yinka


Yinka Danmole is a cultural producer, nurturing space for reflection and critical enquiries. Director of Studio Danmole, a practice situated between the arts, architecture and technology that explores how we choose to organise ourselves as society, socially, spatially and digitally. Over the years he has shaped a series of projects which manifest in various forms and mediums, from public art Installations, social Interventions, curated events to creative development programmes.

Notable work includes The Loft Birmingham (2014), an artist led space in Birmingham city centre. Future C U R I O U S (2015), a wide ranging festival programme asking what the future of Arts practices may look like. Sounds of a people (2017), an immersive audio installation presented at the London Design Museum.
